To celebrate the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade last weekend, fast food chain Burger King introduced a new burger called the ‘Proud Whopper’.
What’s so different about it? Nothing. It’s actually a regular Whopper, but instead of its normal packaging, it’s wrapped with rainbow paper printed with the message, “We are all the same inside”.
“As a brand, we welcome everyone,” said Burger King’s senior vice president of global branding Fernando Machado in an interview with TIME. “We felt that [the Proud Burger] could bring to life a message of equality, self-expression, authenticity and just being who you are.”
The Proud Whopper will be sold for a limited period, and can be purchased from the Burger King store at 1200 Market Street, San Francisco.
