Art City founded by Luke Groesbeck has implemented a month-long collective public art initiative in San Francisco, entitled “Way Out West”—it sets to replace underused advertising spaces on billboards and bus shelters with contemporary artworks by 20 different artists.
The project aims to bring back interest for the arts, turning cities into art galleries that would help creative communities dispel the notion of feeling alienated in this fast-paced society.
