Popular Comic Book Characters Illustrated In ‘Pulp Art’ Style

American artist Brett Parson has created a series of illustrations, depicting comic book characters drawn in pulp art style.

Pulp art was derived from a time in publishing when magazines were printed on cheap, rough ‘pulp’ paper and usually featured sensational stories. As a result, it gives the illustrations on magazine a more rugged and sallow look.

In his illustrations, Parson has featured The Walking Dead, Tank Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
