San Francisco-based healthcare technology startup, Lift Labs, has designed a clever spoon that helps Parkinson’s patients eat with ease. Named “Liftware”, the spoon works by canceling out the tremors—up to 70%—of the user’s shaking hands.
The spoon’s stabilizing handle actively detects, stabilizes, and responds to the user’s tremors, keeping hands steady, resulting in mess-free meals.
Liftware also comes with rechargeable batteries that will last for several days on a single charge. More attachments, such as forks and keys, are planned for this handy device, which costs US$295 on its website.
