US artist David Lyle has created a series of comical paintings, adding modern day elements into vintage photographs from the 1950s.
His monochromatic paintings blend pop culture objects and characters into the photographs, making them look as though it was really taken years back.
For instance, a family is seen tuning into The Simpsons on their television set, and public places were littered heavily with graffiti art.
His works will be showcased in an exhibit called ‘Everyone’s A Critic’ at Lyons Wier Gallery in New York City, from 12 February 2015 through 14 March 2015.
