We normally regard cardboard as something that is to be thrown away after use, but this artist recycles cardboard and uses it as material for her whimsical structures and stop-motion animation films.

Dutch artist Vera van Wolferen creates worlds and stories with recycled grey cardboard, giving value to the seemingly worthless material. She produced a short film titled How to Catch a Bird, which is inspired by a childhood memory.

Her other products include a lighthouse lamp or a floating island with house and trees lamp, which is available for purchase here.

Check out her other works on her website.
