Beautiful Redesign Concept Of Hungarian Banknotes Feature Drawings Of Animals

Following our previous feature on the minimalist redesign concept of the US currency notes, here’s another redesign concept of banknotes that blew us away.

Created for her MA degree project at the University of West Hungary, graphic designer Barbara Bernát has created a lovely concept for the Hungarian Euro that features wonderful drawings of European animals, such as fox and dormouse, and various plant species.

The redesigned banknotes, created in five denominations, feature impressive drawings that were etched separately with copperplates, and a cool security feature that reveals the animals’ skeletons under UV light.

Bernát wrote on her project page, “My goal was to create a complete series with clear design, that transcends the tradition of banknote making.”

What do you think of her redesigned paper bills?
