Minimalist Illustrations Of Famous Costumes From Hollywood's Glamorous History

Brazilian illustrator Frederico Birchal, last featured for his minimalistic costumes of iconic characters, has created a new series of work featuring famous costumes seen in Hollywood history.

Using his signature style, Frederico costumes are illustrated without an actor in it—emphasizing the significance of costume design in Hollywood, and how the costumes were an essential element in bringing life to the characters who wore them.

These illustrations were initially created for an online advertising campaign for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for their ‘Hollywood Costumes’ exhibition—the images are now used on decks of cards.
