Redesign Of The ‘New York Times Magazine’ Includes A New Logo, New Fonts

The New York Times Magazine has undergone a redesign, including new features such as a weekly poem, new fonts and an updated logo.

The magazine's redesign is led by design director Gail Bichler and art director Matt Willey, who expect the new logo and fonts will help differentiate its content from other regular online coverage.

Type designer Matthew Carter was also commissioned to redraw the magazine logo to make it "more modern, more graciously spaced". Bichler and Willey are also responsible for a fresh series of typefaces by Henrik Kubel of A2-Type.
