Thought Nationwide Insurance’s ad was morbid? This dark Super Bowl PSA by Missouri-based National Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse will make you reconsider.

While everyone was buzzing about Nationwide’s dead child, residents of St. Louis, Missouri, got to watch the equally bleak 60-second regional spot that quietly slipped under the radar.

The ad features a cautionary tale about the dangers of heroin abuse sung to a cheerful tune; the contrast between the dark message and upbeat tone makes it even more depressing.

It was created to promote the NCADA’s program aimed at families who suspect their loved ones are battling addiction.
