What If The ’80s Never Ended? Brands Show A Funny Alternate Reality On Twitter

To commemorate the birthdays of ’80s teen icon Molly Ringwald and the late director John Hughes last week, Comedy Central’s late-night internet-based improv show @midnight invited its viewers to imagine if the ’80s never went away, by posting their replies with the hashtag ‘#IfThe80sNeverStopped’ to Twitter.

Major brands soon took notice of the fun exercise and submitted their own entries, and the results were awesome.

From vintage IKEA ads and chunky cellphones the size of your head, to boom box references and retro fast food mascots, they’re sure to resonate with those of you who grew up in the decade of excess.

Go back in time this Monday with the Tweets below.
