Nike has successfully been awarded a new patent that allows its users to create their own sneaker designs with virtual reality “goggles”.
First spotted on Quartz, images of Nike’s new patent revealed a “head mounted display” that showed a sneaker template and simple editing tools for users to design their own shoes.
Also featured in the patent is a pen-like device that lets users add “virtual reality concepts” onto their customized shoes.
However, Nike has not revealed if the new patent is designed for its consumers or its team of designers.
