A Bridge Made Of Recycled Shipping Containers

Israeli architecture studio Yoav Messer Architects will be constructing an eco-friendly 160-meter long bridge made of recycled shipping containers.

Called the ‘ECOntainer Bridge’, it will be constructed in the Ariel Sharon Park—a nature reserve “rooted in the ideas of environmental ecology and sustainability”.

The bridge will feature two observation platforms for pedestrians and a deck to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and light vehicles alike.

The bridge also incorporates display panels, which will keep visitors up-to-date on “site-specific information and presentations on new projects”.

Seems like shipping containers can be turned into just about anything these days—including hotels!

What do you think?
