Every book-lover loves seeing his books lined up on the shelves, but Quebec-based Canadian artist Paul Beliveau has taken bibliophilia a step further with his photorealistic paintings of book spines.
Meticulously re-creating the tiny tears and faint creases—that well-loved books are bound to acquire after some time—the artist has done an incredible job of capturing the minute details.
The artist appears to have a penchant for non-fiction—his depiction of boldly designed, colorful pop art books are particularly striking.
