Austrian photographer Andreas Franke has released a new series of deep sea portraits.
Titled ‘Stavronikita Project: The Life Above Refined Below’, the surreal gallery portrays the opulent era of Roccoco as a contrasting visual to Franke’s deep sea pictures of the SS Stavronikita.
Franke’s gallery is displayed underwater, behind a plane of Plexiglas sealed in with silicone and a steel frame,, and attached to the ship with magnets.
The exhibit is opened for view a depth of 80ft, through April 2013.
