‘Universal’ Coca-Cola Vending Machine That Accepts Any Currency

Students from the Miami Ad School Madrid have proposed a concept for a universal Coca-Cola vending machine that accepts multiple currencies.

Called ‘The Worldwide Machine’, it will be able to accept notes and coins from different countries, as well as determining the correct amount—by using the exchange rate—required to purchase a Coke.

According to the project’s designers, Erika Reyes, Sandra Gabriel and Silva Morais, they hope to create a vending machine that has “no nationality, no flag, and no borders.”

“This one of a kind machine would be placed at international airports and will accept any kind of currency; because no matter where you come, Coca-Cola is also there.”

Beside airports, the Worldwide Machine can also be placed at international events—such as the Olympics, World Cups and large-scale conventions.
