Cheeky Budget Airline Ad Tells Unhappy Customers To ‘Shut The F**k Up’

Stockholm-based Austrian advertising student Hugo Gstrein has created a tongue-in-cheek ad campaign for European budget airline Ryanair that basically tells disgruntled passengers to “shut the f**k up” because “beggers can’t be choosers”.

Instead of trying to attract customers with quality service and in-flight facilities, this brutally honest ad campaign simply reminds people that with “prices this cheap”, one really shouldn’t be complaining.

In addition to its controversial slogan, the ad campaign also consists of a website overhaul that would segregate the “complainers” from regular customers—to make it difficult for anyone to lodge a complaint, the “complain page” would lock down after just 10 seconds.

There are also print ads and billboards that display common complains from passengers,—such as “8 Euros for a sandwich? I want a snack, not a gold brick.”—all of which are answered with the campaign’s provocative tagline of “Shut the f**k up”.
