USA World Cup Goalkeeper Tim Howard Catapults To Internet Fame





Following his sterling performance of blocking 16 shots at the USA-Belgium World Cup match, the cyberworld has catapulted USA goalkeeper Tim Howard into internet stardom.



From spawning a whole series of hilarious #ThingsTimHowardCouldSave memes to altering the entry for the US Secretary of Defense on Wikipedia, Howard became an overnight online sensation.



This even prompted the actual US Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel, to join in with a congratulatory call to Howard according to a tweet from the Department of Defense.
