With Valentine’s Day happening tomorrow, flower company Funnyhowflowersdothat.co.uk has taken the phrase “love is in the air” literally, by using drones to deliver stalks of roses to couples on the streets of Verona, Italy.

Painted bright red and outfitted with a “special rose-release mechanism”, the modern-day ‘Cupidrone’ dropped pretty blooms at the feet of unsuspecting lovers in the home of Romeo and Juliet as it soared overhead.

The idea was conceived by Amsterdam-based agency Kingsday, who previously installed emergency flower boxes in Paris last year.
