The ‘World's Smallest’ Aircraft Is A Mix Between A Segway And A Hoverboard

With technology becoming more advanced, our futuristic dreams of zipping around from places to places quickly, with a personal floating board, is slowly becoming a reality.

Latvian-based Elviss Straupenieks is the man behind ‘AirBoard’—the world’s smallest, ultralight manned aircraft, which looks like a cross between a Segway and a hoverboard.

Unlike the Hendo Hoverboard, which could only lift you one inch off the ground—the AirBoard comes with four propellers, and will be able to lift you up to five feet (60 inches) above the ground.

Users can easily fly the AirBoard by shifting their weight around, and folding it up after use.

It can also be operated with an app that lets you be in control of the gadget remotely, and track important stats like battery power, speed and altitude, it even has and alarm that would fend off thieves.

The AirBoard will be available only next year at the price of US$13,000.
