Gruesomely Realistic Anatomical Body Paintings, Show What Lies Under The Skin

A recent Pratt Institute graduate, artist and illustrator Danny Quirk has created a series of creepy anatomical paintings on human bodies that provides a fascinating peek under the skin.

Having produced drawings for scientific journals, the talented young artist’s body paintings are disturbingly realistic and may make those with weak stomachs feel a little queasy.

Revealing intricate and detailed depictions of muscles, bones and organs, these paintings are certainly an unusual—and memorable—way to learn more about our bodies.

Intending to make them a 15-20 page series, keep your eye on the artist’s Facebook page for more of these amazing works.
