In Paris, A Building With A Giant Giraffe Stuck Through It

French architects Hondelatte-Laporte has created an amazing building for a children center that brings a generous dose of fantasy and whimsy into the city.

The Giraffe Childcare Center takes its name literally by featuring a huge yellow giraffe as part of its architecture—sticking through the front of the building, visitors would have to walk between the legs of the long-necked creature to get into the center.

Peering over the top of the building, the head of the massive giraffe sculpture would no doubt be a strange sight for anyone seeing it for the first time.

“The building changes its identity and becomes a landscape in its own right, a metaphor for the urban jungle. The animals and the trees link the building to nature and motion.”

You will also find a huge white bear and a trio of over-sized ladybugs at this unconventional building.
