The movie The Life Of Pi is about a boy and a tiger found adrift in a lifeboat.

To launch the movie in Paris, France, the distributors organized a special screening—to give the audience a unique and immersed experience.

A swimming pool was transformed into a temporary cinema—and instead of chairs, twenty lifeboats were used—so that the audience could empathize with the movie.

Although they left out the tigers, this is definitely cooler than what 3D could offer.
