It seems that good help is hard to find these days.
The Queen has posted a job ad on The British Monarchy’s official website seeking a “General Catering Assistant (Wash Up)”, or something along the lines of ‘royal dishwasher’.
The job requires you to work 40 hours a week at Buckingham Palace and other Royal residences, where you’d be “responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Staff Restaurant, wash-up areas and equipment in accordance with the Health and Hygiene Regulations to ensure the smooth operation of the Staff Restaurant”.
Applicants need to “have a flexible and willing attitude”, and “be happy to travel and work at other Royal residences in the UK and at weekends”.
If you’re looking for a chance to make £14,200 a year (US$22,700) with free accommodation, you’d better hurry—the offer closes in just six days on 15 January 2013.
