3D Print Your Very Own Fully-Functional SLR Camera

Leo Marius, a recent graduate in design from the Saint–Éttiene School of Art and Design, has created a fully operational 3D-printed camera.

The ‘OpenReflex’ is an analog single-lens reflex camera with a mirror viewfinder that accepts almost any camera lens.

The plans for the camera is released under an open source license and can be downloaded via Thingverse.

The camera takes around 15 hours to 3D print and a further one hour to assemble. The total cost of materials needed to build the camera amounts to around $30.
