A Croissant That Is Shaped Like A Loaf Of Bread

Food blog “Not Without Salt” has come up with a brilliant recipe that serves up the flaky, fluffy goodness of the croissant in the handy, spread-ready shape of the bread loaf.

Unlike the traditional bread loaf, the croissant loaf requires the dough to be cut into stripes and layered in the bread pan so as to produce the unique and delicious texture of the popular French pastry.

“I adore croissants, of course I do, but the loaf version gives more surface for jam and then think of the possibilities – a blt served between two slices, french toast, eaten alone straight from the pan.”

Head over here to find out how to bake your own loaf of croissant bread.
