An Otherworldly 'Natural Fountain' That Was Accidentally Made By Man In 1916





The little-known 'Fly Ranch Geyser' in Washoe County, Nevada, is truly a sight to behold.



The geyser was accidentally created in 1916 while drilling works were being carried out. Geothermal water gushed out of the weakened walls that used to hold it in, allowing dissolved minerals to rise and accumulate in the nearby surroundings. The ejected minerals caused a myriad of color to form.



Till this day, the water in this area "continually spews into the air", and reaches heights of 5 feet. The resulting sight looks otherworldly.
