Graphic designer, letterer and illustrator Scott Biersack has a meaningful weekend project—he wakes up early every Saturday to work on “Chalkboard Saturday”, where he hand-letters motivational quotes onto a large chalkboard.
Located at a hallway in the COOR building at ASU, the enormous 8ft by 30ft chalkboard is Biersack’s canvas for his ephemeral typographic art, which can be easily damaged by passers-by.
Featuring inspiring words of wisdom, these beautifully inscribed pieces not only serves as reminders for himself but also as up-lifting doses of encouragement for his fellow students.
