Classic Paintings Recreated Digitally On An iPad

Oath of the Horatii by Jacques-Louis David

Liverpool-based digital artist Paul Vera-Broadbent has recreated classic artwork in a modern, digital style.

His polygonal pieces looked like they were 3D-rendered for a video game, but surprisingly he creates his images using only an iPad and the Sketchbook Pro app.

Vera-Broadbent has been working on video game design since he was 17, and has released 25 titles and attracted several BAFTA nominations.

He has recently been focusing on developing “innovative styles of digital painting” and combining his video game experience with his “obsession” of old masters to create exciting new work.
