For The Brave: New Suspension Bridge Offers Vertigo-Inducing Views Of The Alps

In Austria, the Dachstein Glacier resort has recently completed a 100-meter-long suspension bridge that is supposedly the highest in the country—a walk along it offers spectacular views of the beautiful Austrian Alps at dizzying heights.

Located on one of the loftiest Alpine peaks, this freshly opened attraction leads to 14 terrifying steps down a cliff—aptly dubbed the “stairway to nothingness”—that ends on a glass platform that “hovers” over thin air and a vertigo-inducing 400-meter steep drop.

However, if you do make it to the glass platform, you will be rewarded with a virtually unobstructed view of the breath-taking mountain landscape that is probably unrivaled by any other location.

Definitely not for the faint-hearted, the Dachstein Glacier resort cautions that only visitors with “nerves of steel” should attempt this walk.
