The Mosaïcultures Internationales Montréal 2013 is an international mosaiculture competition held in Montréal, Canada.
Mosaiculture is a horticultural art that involves “creating and mounting living artworks made primarily from plants with colourful foliage”. This distinguishes it from topiary, in which shrubs are cut and pruned to create different shapes.
The competition, held at the Botanical Garden in Montréal, currently has over 50 amazing plant sculptures on display, designed by artists from 25 countries.
On display till September 29, the show features giant sculptures of forest nymphs, shepherds, animals and other abstract art to create a wonderful, fantasy-like landscape.
