That is exactly what happened to this man, who found that he has accidentally photo-bombed a special moment when he got in the way of a once-in-a-lifetime proposal photograph at Disney World.
Reddit user SpnyHappy uploaded the image of the awkward photo-bomber as a joke—the internet just ran with it and turned him into a funny internet meme.
Now known as the “In The Way Guy”, the accidental photo-bomber has been inserted into some of history’s most famous images, including the Tiananmen Square tank picture and The Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road album cover.
Life in the interne age can be so unpredictable—one day you are just a regular middle-aged man, and the next, you are the internet meme du jour.
