
Back in Victorian times, stereographs or stereoscopes were invented, which allowed a viewer to capture two images—one seen from the left eye, and the other from the right.
In the 1800s, photographer T. Enami created these stereoscopes of Japan, but these images have been given a reboot as Flickr user Okinawa Soba has turned them into GIFs.
These dual-perspective photos may cause slight giddiness, but they do give each shot an immersive quality.
