United Kingdom-based design studio Morey Smith was commissioned by Coca-Cola to design its new London headquarters at Wimpole Street.
The four-storey building, which measures at 66,000-square-feet, consists of a roof terrace, cafeteria, meeting rooms and hot desk facilities. A large painted Coca-Cola logo on a brick wall greets visitors at the entrance.
British lighting designer Stuart Haygarth also created a comet-shaped installation made out of more than 80,000 acrylic ice chunks suspended on ultra-fine wires hanging from the second floor.
A centrepiece installation, dubbed the ‘Heritage Wall’, is an archival piece which features past Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Other than the key pieces, the building is also decorated with vintage posters and signages. According to Morey Smith, the retro-inspired interior of the building was a tribute to “Coca-Cola’s heritage and place in popular culture”.
The spacious building which can house up to 300 employees is also environmental friendly as it uses energy-saving and water-efficient products.
