The ‘‘Lolcat’ meme has been around since 2006, and it is still one of the most popular Internet memes today.
To celebrate the Lolcat and all things ‘lulz’, artist and musician duo, Ellen Warkentine and Andrew Pedroza, will be putting together a pop opera performance called ‘LOLPERA’.
According to the LOLPERA website, it will be set in the distant dystopian ‘Catcotopia 2084’ and it will be a story of an ‘epik quest for meaning in our modern world…told entirely through stupid cat pictures’.
It also adds that the performance will be ‘an epik clash between low-brow humor and high art’.
Let’s hope they can finally answer the question: can cat haz cheezburger?
