After capturing the life of a soap bubble, Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner has turned his talents to making wonderful three-dimensional art with nothing more than color pigments and a speaker.
By placing the pigments on the speaker and playing music through it, he was able to “bounce” the bright pigments into the art, creating strange but beautiful sculptures that last for just a moment.
To capture these sculptures before they disintegrate, the photographer has attached a microphone to the camera—every time the microphone picks up a sound, it will trigger the camera to take a picture.
We think that this is a particularly creative and gorgeous way of visualizing sound waves.
