As mentioned before, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts is auctioning off about 350 paintings, photographs and prints of the artist through Christie’s auction house in New York.
This is to raise money to expand its support of the visual arts, and fulfil Warhol’s purpose in establishing it, and make donations to museums.
On the first day of the auctions (12 November), Life+Times created a video that offers an exclusive look at the sale, featuring previously-unseen works by Warhol.
The exclusive pieces are priced from a few thousand to as much as millions of dollars.
