The Map Of America, Made Out Of Dots

Using the 2010 US and Canadian censuses, computational urban planner Brandon Martin-Anderson has recreated the map of the United States entirely out of 341,817,095 dots.

Each dot represents a single person living in the United States.

The illustrated map displays human settlement patterns uninterrupted by city boundaries, roads or state lines.
