Crayola’s Crayon Names, Visually Translated Using Colorful Objects

Pink Flamingo, #FC74FD

Crayola has been known to give its crayons catchy and fun names that closely resemble the colors, such as ‘Pink Flamingo’ and ‘Banana Mania’.

Based in New York City, photographer Daniel Seung Lee and art director Dawn Kim decided to literally, visually translate the crayon titles of Crayola as a personal project.

In the series ‘Crayola Theory’, the duo simply assembled objects that take after the name of the crayon, in front of plain brightly-colored backdrops.
