Funny Print Ads Show How Stuttering Can Lead To Embarrassing Misunderstandings





Advertising agency DDB&Co Istanbul has created a trio of funny print ads for Kekemelodi Stuttering Classes that shows how stuttering can lead to potentially embarrassing situations.



Each of the colorful prints depicts a series of simple graphics, which bring across the message that getting stuck at the first syllable of a word may result in unnecessary misunderstandings about what one is trying to say.



For instance, a stutterer may be thought to be saying “poo” when what he is actually trying to say is “poodle”.



While these ads are meant to be amusing, stutterers may not be appreciate their humor—according to Buzz Feed, “these ads are literally mocking the shit out of [stutterers]”.
