It’s amazing what simple drawing materials can do, especially in the hands of illustrator and graphic designer Marcello Barenghi.

Using pens, pencils, markers and watercolors, he creates incredibly realistic pictures that look like they are jumping off the page.

Barenghi brings out interesting details in mundane objects like a pack of chips, a crumpled banknote and a deck of used cards.

The artist also makes time-lapse videos documenting his drawing process, uploading them regularly on his YouTube page.
