After an increase of crime in Marseille, France, the city’s residents have taken to Facebook, petitioning for Batman to save them from criminals.
Called ‘Will It Take Batman To Save Marseille?’, this mock campaign came about after a pensioner was shot trying to stop a robbery.
This surge in crime is probably due to the drug trade, with the city experiencing 13 drug-related killings this year.
Although the police have sent in 130 riot police and 24 more detectives, the residents say that this is not enough.
According to the site, the residents want to call “more police and army… then Batman!”, hoping that somehow, the caped crusader will make their streets safe once more.
