Indian comedy collective All India Bakchod has created a viral, satirical video that highlights India’s culture of victim-blaming in rape cases.
Titled ‘It’s Your Fault’, the tongue-in-cheek video points out absurd reasons why women should be blamed for rape. Reasons include their attire, working late into the night, hanging out with male friends, and even talking on the cell phones.
“Every sexual assault case in India inspires a string of stupid and hateful remarks against women. This is our response to those remarks,” wrote the video’s description.
