Art director Andrew Suggit has started “The Golden Sans Project” to document the beautiful urban and residential signage in Gold Coast, Australia.
Focusing on typographic signs that have stood the test of time and have become entrenched in the memories of both residents and visitors, Suggit seeks to map the identity of the city while paying tribute to its heritage.
Categorizing the eye-catching signs by alphabetical order, the project is updated with new, strikingly composed photographs each week—so far, the project is up to the letter “h”.
The featured signs represent a diverse range of businesses and residences—from hotels to supermarkets—and is a visual fest for anyone who enjoys urban design, especially type lovers.
Head over to the project’s website for more pictures of lovely typographic signage.
