A Modular House That Hangs Precariously From A Seaside Cliff

On the Southwest coast of Victoria, Australia, a unique modular house dangles precariously from a cliff, providing unparalleled views of the ocean.

This house is known as the Cliff House, designed by Modscape Concept. It is a response to the demand for residences to be built on rocky land along the coast.

Taking inspiration from barnacles and how they cling on to the hull of a ship, this five-storey house is a dramatic way to live.

The topmost floor is a space for car parking, and it also provides an entrance to the lower levels of this house. The entire prefabricated structure is anchored to the cliff using engineered steel pins.
