A Quartet Of Identical, Skinny Houses With Spiral Staircases

Instead of constructing a multi-level residential building, Japanese firm Be-Fun Design decided to build four skinny, identical apartments that are next to each other.

Each of the house has a spiral staircase that connects the four floors within the house, which is the main reason behind the building’s name ‘Spiral’.

Although the super narrow houses seem to have limited space, it still manages to have the features of a typical house—by designing a different room on each of the four levels.

Occupants of the house can look out onto the streets with the large floor-length windows that are fixed on all four levels of the house, which also serves as a source of natural lighting.
