High School Duo Creates Tampon Game To Rid Stigma Around Menstruation

Did you know for some parts of the world it is taboo to speak of menstruation, and girls who have them are viewed as dirty?

High school duo Sophie Houser and Andrea Gonzales wish to change that with their self-developed game Tampon Run.

In the game, the main character gets to shoot tampons, instead of firearms, at enemies.

The game developers wrote: “Although the concept of the video game may be strange, it’s stranger that our society has accepted and normalized guns and violence through video games, yet we still find tampons and menstruation unspeakable.”
