Illustrator Lily Williams has come up with these informative posters that show what happens when sharks disappear.
As she is fond of these creatures, Williams sought to dispel the notion that they are bloodthirsty predators—instead, she shows that they play a part in regulating the populations of various marine wildlife.
Williams also highlighted the sharks’ fins in red—these creatures are hunted for their fins to make shark’s fin soup, which is considered a delicacy in some cultures.
