Southwest Airlines Launches Refreshing New Logo And Branding Identity

Southwest Airlines has launched its biggest branding revamp to date by unveiling a colorful new logo and identity campaign.

For its new logo, the company brought back the heart icon that was used when it was founded in 1971—however, this vintage heart logo has been redesigned in bright blue, red and yellow stripes, to look more modern and approachable.

The airlines has also ditched its previous all-caps Helvetica wordmark, and replaced it with a new custom sans-serif typeface that is more casual and friendly.

According to AdAge, this huge rebranding effort also includes new ads, tagline, airport kiosks, signage, and “everything Southwest that’s seen by the public.
