Unique Banana Collages Inspired By Vintage Pop-Culture Advertisements

As part of her ‘A poster per day for 365 days’ project, Hong Kong-based artist and graphic designer Kayan Kwok has created a series of unique banana collages.

Influenced by vintage American pop-culture advertisements from the 1920s to 1960s, Kwok’s works reflect both a contemporary and retro style as she mixes pop-art illustrations with old black-and-white photographs.

According to the artist, when “you are putting stuff together from different places and times, the result is clearly unpredictable and this is what makes collage so fascinating”.
